RobotPlusPlus Closes Series C to Scale Robots That Take Humans Out of Dangerous Work at Height

BEIJING, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- RobotPlusPlus(ROBOT++), an engineering-led company specializing in working-at-height robots, has closed a Series C round worth hundreds of millions of RMB (tens of millions of USD). The funding will accelerate global expansion and advance its embodied AI platform.

The round was led by Qianggang Capital Fund, with participation from GIG Capital Group, Sealand Innovation and Juntong Capital. Existing investor Fosun RZ Capital increased its stake.

The problem: skilled workers should supervise, not risk their lives

Across shipyards, oil and gas facilities, wind farms, and building façades, essential maintenance still puts skilled workers on scaffolding, suspended platforms and other hazardous structures, often dozens of meters above ground.

RobotPlusPlus builds robots to take on these dangerous, repetitive tasks instead. Guided by its vision of “Empowering Humans with Robots & AI,” the company enables professionals to focus on supervision, quality control, and decision-making while robots handle the risk. This improves worker safety while reducing reliance on scaffolding and rope access, increasing operational consistency, lowering costs and minimizing downtime.

A proven commercial platform

Over the past decade, RobotPlusPlus has built an integrated platform spanning R&D, manufacturing, sales, delivery and after-sales service across marine, oil and gas, and construction. Its product portfolio covers all aspects of fabric maintenance—including inspections, surface preparation, coating, spot repairs, and cleaning.

Ship maintenance is its most established application. RobotPlusPlus hull derusting robots have been deployed at more than 100 major shipyards worldwide, with market share above 70%, and have completed work on over 10,000 large cargo vessels. Compared with manual methods, they improve efficiency five to six times and reduce overall costs by 30% to 50%, shortening a typical repair cycle from six or seven days to around three and freeing valuable dry dock capacity.

International traction

RobotPlusPlus has a growing global footprint spanning more than 18 countries. Its international customers and partners include NOSCO Shipyard in Vietnam, where a multi-million-dollar order is delivering measurable cost savings and efficiency gains aligned with Vietnam's new environmental-upgrade requirements for greener ship repair, as well as established partnerships with two of the world's leading ship-repair operators, Drydocks World in Dubai and ST Engineering Marine in Singapore. The company also counts global industrial majors such as Saudi Aramco and Vopak among its references.

Deep R&D and data advantage

With more than 60% of its workforce in R&D and R&D investment above 20% of revenue for three consecutive years, RobotPlusPlus has built a deep technology base.
